O Divine Creator, in whose name this nation was founded,

Creator of All to whom our leaders pledge their oaths,

and under whose law our people are governed:

grant your protection, majesty and inspiration

to our President

so these United States continue to stand

as a shining beacon of what is best in all of us.

Forgive our President for any transgressions

and for the difficult tasks we bestow

upon one elected to the highest office.
