| 1 | O People! There is no other deity but Allah! |
| 2 | The Compassionate, the Beneficent, the Gracious; |
| 3 | All praise and worship be to Allah and no other! |
| 4 | The sanctuary into which no sorcery, nor ignorance, nor corruption may pass; |
| 5 | A place of learning and debating with respect; |
| 6 | A source of even greater wisdom and knowledge of the world through writing in all languages; |
| 7 | The presence of Allah is to be found first in such an Academy before any temple or other sacred site. |
| 8 | Let there be the very best Academy throughout the lands that scholars may come and students may learn; |
| 9 | Where reason and logic may debate and the knowledge of Islam may increase. |
| 10 | Upon a community professing its respect for wisdom and prosperity, |
| 11 | Let it establish its own academy. |
| 12 | Yet let no teacher enter to an academy, nor any student be accepted, |
| 13 | if not the Way of Islam be explained. |
| 14 | Verily, this is the way and the truth. |
| 15 | Let each teacher be so versed, that every word of the Way (of Islam) be memorized. |
| 16 | Let each student be taught that they may know the Way by heart and mind. |
