| 1 | O People! There is no other deity but Allah! |
| 2 | The Compassionate, the Beneficent, the Gracious; |
| 3 | All petition and thanks be to Allah and no other! |
| 4 | Verily, even Allah is powerless to stop it; |
| 5 | Lest all creation end; |
| 6 | All life has its seasons; |
| 7 | And upon a time and a place, |
| 8 | Even our children’s children shall cease; |
| 9 | Either by our own hand or by forces many times greater than ourselves. |
| 10 | A time when all life as we see and know shall end; |
| 11 | A great Day of Calamity. |
| 12 | Verily, it is neither by choice nor design of Allah that such a Day awaits. |
| 13 | It is the collective choice of man. |
| 14 | That shall determine our fate. |
