| 2 | and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, |
| 3 | and bracelets, and ornaments, |
| 4 | and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, |
| 5 | and all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring tinctures. |
| 6 | And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, |
| 7 | and they were led astray, |
| 8 | and became corrupt in all their ways. |
| 9 | Semjaza taught enchantments, and root-cuttings, ' |
| 10 | Armaros the resolving of enchantments, |
| 11 | Baraqijal (taught) astrology, |
| 12 | Kokabel the constellations, |
| 13 | Ezeqeel the knowledge of the clouds, |
| 14 | Araqiel the signs of the earth, |
| 15 | Shamsiel the signs of the sun, |
| 16 | and Sariel the course of the moon. |
| 17 | And as men perished, they cried, and their cry went up to heaven . |
