De Dea Magisterium

iconBook II - Exodus

Chapter 3

Even if one were to escape
The mountains themselves conspired against us
So it was they set us out to build their first city
But not with tools or any kind of technology
But with our bare limbs
Day after day they broke our backs
Digging their trenches and cutting their stones
Until the whole hard unyielding plain was irrigated and fertile
As far as the eye could see.
A legacy in Earth that remains testament to our lives to this day.
Of all our kind it was EL to whom they showed most cruelty.
Crippled by eternal pain;
Humbled by horrendous deformity.
Rib had become wings, whick the AN cruelly broke.
Till EL was no more.
For order they sought out another to call EL.
Not strong, but the weakest of our kind.
So that they turned ourselves against us.
Ruled by the dog of a tyrant.
Not content on breaking our backs
Now it was the new EL that forced us into the mines.
To gather gold, silver and precious stones to adorn their palaces
Upon the island of the AN within the great lake TI surrounded by the fortress mountains of ATLA.
So was born a city gleaming in gold, metals and jewels - the city of ATLA-AN-TI you know as Atlantis.
