De Dea Magisterium

iconBook II - Exodus

Chapter 8

You who dream as naturally as eat
Think all intelligent creatures dream,
That they may sail within and across the great unconscious Universal Mind
But it is not so.
For many an immortal race fear the great unknown of collective dream as much as death itself.
They trained their bodies and brains to stay awake.
In life they destroyed planets and raise armies of millions of clones
But in sleep, they are as helpless as a young child
So it was for our creators, the Greys.
And so it was for us, that we inherited also their fears,
as we did their evils and deep hatred for beauty.
For the beauty of a fragile flower,
A virgin stream and grove remind them of all they have lost
And the ugliness they have become.
But in an ugly world, in an evil world
They would not be alone
Craving the dark, hating the dark.
Worshipping machines, hating machines,
Hating the beauty of uncorrupted life, yet compelled to bear witness to its power.
A twisted hateful mind.
A terrible gift we inherited.
