Chapter 10

The chance for revenge came upon a looming major strike of asteroids upon the Earth
Two hundred and seventy thousand years ago
The Greys who fear death more than any god in the universe
Had built their city and valley to resemble their Eden
Protected by fortress mountains in the clouds
Yet their fear of death knew no bounds.
So they locked us down in the mines
And escaped to their craft and into orbit
Until the asteroid strike was over
But in haste they did not well secure our underground prison
So great their fear, in their panic they did not take the time to search all of us
So while they waited in orbit until the asteroids had struck, we escaped entered their most important laboratories and made our plans
The blue planet shook upon the impacts of the asteroids causing huge waves to break in from the sea and the day to turn to night.
Then twenty days after the asteroids had struck they returned to resume their roles of oppression.
But we had found their weapons and struck at the grey gods as they approached, killing many of them.
But upon seeing their most greatest fear of death to their kind, the other ships quickly rose to fly away.
Some of our kind took control of a ship that had landed to catch them, but to no avail, for the greys are masters at the craft and no greater journeyman than they.
We knew then surely they would return in force. Our days as immortals numbered.
But for those years, two thousand, maybe five thousand- we would live in peace.
A brief ray of light before our doom.
