1	Praisegiving to Amen !
2	I make hymns in his name.
3	I give to him praise: to the height of heaven,
4	and the breadth of the earth.
5	I tell his might to him who sails down-stream,
6	and to him who sails up-stream.
7	Beware of him !
8	Repeat it to son and daughter, to great and small.
9	Herald him to the generations not yet born.
10	Herald him to the fishes in the deep,
11	and to the birds in the sky.
12	Repeat it to him who knows it not,
13	and to him who knows.
14	Beware of him !
15	You are Amen, the Lord of the silent.
16	Who comes at the cry of the poor.
17	When I call to you in my distress,
18	You come to rescue me.
19	Give breath to him who is wretched.
20	Rescue me from bondage.
21	You are Amen, Lord of Thebes,
22	Who rescues him who is in Hell ;
23	For you are he who is merciful,
24	When one appeals to you.
25	You are he who comes from afar.
