49 Immortality

1	A man lost in a vast desert without food or water was close to his doom,
2	When a great Vulture arrived and perched itself upon a nearby rock.
3	Upon seeing the vulture, the man did say: Behold death! You shall not be kept waiting.
4	Verily, before I depart, I entreat thee? For I wish to know if there is something more?
5	To which the Vulture replied: In answer to your dying request, what then do you see with your eyes but wasted land?
6	Yet upon the rains, this void be but a cruel mirage. For all life does bloom with fierce determination.
7	The man close to expiry did reply: Alas! That before I die it be impossible to witness such a miracle.
8	To which the Vulture replied thus: Then close your eyes and imagine such life and so you have your answer.
9	For your mind knows more than what your eyes cannot see. Thus only your body shall decay and be my meal.
10	Yet your mind is immortal and no god, nor form, nor man or beast may claim it or seize it.
