Book 5 – The First Law

3   First Law of Intention

1This be the First Law of Intention:
2Intention is the expression of the spirit of Free Will;
3Intention is the choice in mind which leads to certain Action;
4All men and women possess Free Will to choose Intention;
5All spirit possesses Free Will to choose Intention;
6Free Will be the greatest force of the Universal Dream.
7If the Great Dreamer did not wish to exist,
8Then only nothing would exist.
9All men or women have a choice:
10To live and act as animals,
11Or to live in mind and spirit by First Law.
12If a man choose to live in community,
13Then he binds himself to the Will and Intention of the Community,
14By the Rule of Law of the community.
15A man in honor when accused of transgression,
16Confesses his error,
17And agrees to his punishment.
18Only a man who has no honor,
19Fails to confess his error when called to explain.
20So a community cannot ever force a man of honor,
21To accept a punishment against his will,
22When he believe he be falsely accused.
23Honor forbids ones true Will and Intention from being dishonored,
24Without the Great Spirit Dreamer being called,
25To correct such injustice.
26One who pretends false honor,
27And does not consent to right punishment,
28Faces triple the consequences in flesh, mind and spirit.
29Hold no evil or ill Intention towards others;
30Forgive others who hurt or injure you,
31And let the law and their honor or dishonor carry justice.
32Leave others with a warm heart and broad smile;
33Do not leave unfinished business or open wounds.
