| 21 | And the mountains to the east became covered by permanent ice and snow. |
| 22 | The sea dropped by more than the height of two men than it is today, |
| 23 | And great mountains of ice formed in the south, |
| 24 | Until 11,500 generations ago, when the land warmed again. |
| 25 | For 2,100 generations the land was warm and fertile. |
| 26 | The seas rose, the rains fell, the plants and animals grew. |
| 27 | The great mountains of ice in the south disappeared, |
| 28 | And were replaced by the shallow sea across the south; |
| 29 | Until the second great age of cooling 9,470 generations ago. |
| 30 | When sea dropped again by more than the height of two men than it is today; |
| 31 | The great mountains of ice returned to the south; |
| 32 | For 2,630 generations the land was cool, |
| 33 | Until the great season of warming. |
| 34 | When sea rose again by more than the height of three men than it is today; |
| 35 | The seas returned and flooded the land of the west, the south and the central country; |
| 36 | The mountains of ice disappeared; |
| 37 | The plants and trees and animals returned; |
| 38 | Food was plentiful and life was peaceful for 578 generations, |
| 39 | Until Great Season of Ice and Cold that started 6,263 generations ago, |
| 40 | When the land dried up and the animals died; |
| 41 | When the mountains were frozen once again; |
| 42 | While a bitter and dry wind cut the land and killed the plants. |
| 43 | For 1,842 generations, first ancestors sought safety , |
| 44 | In caves in the north and west country, |
| 45 | Until the age of the Great Season of Warming 4,421 generations ago. |
| 46 | Life returned to the land, as it does to the desert after the rains. |
| 47 | For 527 generations, the people lived in peace and happiness, |
| 48 | Until the great death of fire and ash, |
| 49 | That came from the islands of the north; |
| 50 | Blanketing the country 3,894 generations ago; |
| 51 | Burning all the vegetation and animals; |
| 52 | Killing all the giant animals in the north and west; |
| 53 | Blocking out the sun and caused all to become frozen desert. |
| 54 | For more than 100 generations, the people endured the death of the ash, |
| 55 | The hidden sun and moon and sky, |
| 56 | Before the land returned to warmth and life. |
| 57 | Then came the Second Great Season of Ice and Cold that started 2,526 generations ago; |
| 58 | When the great animals of the south and east froze to death or died of hunger; |
| 59 | When the great hunger came over the people; |
| 60 | When the even the rivers and lakes were frozen; |
| 61 | When the giant people of different land did come, |
| 62 | And save the people through the Second Law. |
| 63 | This be the Great Cycle of Seasons, |
| 64 | Of the First Great Tribulation. |
