| We are all visitors to this time and place; |
| We are all just passing through. |
| As knowledge does sleep and awaken like seasons, |
| Meaning be put away and then returned at right time and place. |
| The spirit of Day and Night cannot live together, |
| Only pass each other once a day. |
| While spirit is always moving, |
| Spirit never abandons the people. |
| It is only the flesh that falls asleep to knowledge of spirit and season. |
| Our one common ancestors, |
| The ones formed from first and second ancestors, |
| Did not forget First Spirit; |
| Did not forget First Dreaming; |
| Did not forget First Law. |
| As the land grew cold as death, |
| They cried out to spirit for help, |
| And spirit did come. |
| They did not give up hope or honor or respect; |
| Even as the great animals died around them, |
| They continued to honor the great spirits; |
| Even as the people killed each other like wild animals; |
| First common ancestors did not surrender First Law. |
| While the giant people with horns and red skin did come, |
| And bring Second Law, |
| Redemption did come from the right intentions, |
| And right actions of first common ancestor. |
| Because they remembered the mystery of the great dream of Universe: |
| To Live 1 Dies. 1 Dies to Live; |
| That to learn, one must die to disrespect of knowledge; |
| To Live, one must die to dishonor of Law; |
| To Live as men and women, not animals, |
| One must respect and honor knowledge of ancestors, |
| One must always respect and honor Yapa. |
