1 | This be the Law of Sacred Insignia: |
2 | The first Sacred Insignia be a symbol of being, of unique life and existence; |
3 | The second Sacred Insignia be a token of moiety, of skin, of spirit; |
4 | The third Sacred Insignia be an emblem of tribe, of community and jurisdiction; |
5 | The fourth Sacred Insignia be an ensign of rank, of status and authority; |
6 | The fifth Sacred Insignia be a coat of arms of family, of tribe and nations. |
7 | Only people holding specific office may handle them or use Sacred Insignia. |
8 | Sacred Insignia be public, or restricted or secret. |
9 | Public Sacred Insignia are those permitted to be seen by community; |
10 | Restricted Sacred Insignia are those permitted only to be seen, |
11 | By men or woman of certain initiation; |
12 | Secret Sacred Insignia are the most restricted of all objects, |
13 | And may only be seen by those of the highest initiation. |
14 | As to first Sacred Insignia, all infants are borne with a sacred stone nearby. |
15 | The sacred stone represents the totem of spirit of the child. |
16 | When it has been properly verified and prepared it becomes a Sacred Insignia. |
17 | Then it must be safely kept at a Temple within Sacred Sanctuary. |
18 | Whether or not the sacred stone as the totem of the child, |
19 | Be found at birth or not, it exists. |
20 | It may be found later, or sooner. |
21 | When a child is borne, the mother shall tell the father and the family, |
22 | Where be the location of the birth. |
23 | Around then this place, they may first find the sacred stone as Sacred Insignia. |
24 | If the sacred stone not be immediately found, |
25 | Then the form of spirit has become tree, |
26 | Or one of the animals living near such tree. |
27 | In time, the tree or animals shall reveal to true location of the sacred stone. |
28 | As to second Sacred Insignia, the skin animal or plant be sacred insignia to the skin family. |
29 | As to third Sacred Insignia, a man inherits the Sacred Insignia of his father, |
30 | A woman inherits the Sacred Insignia of her mother, |
31 | And those that descend to him or her by inheritance. |
32 | When a man inherits Sacred Insignia he inherits certain sacred ceremonies, |
33 | which may belong to the men who are represented by the insignia. |
34 | After the period of proper funerary rights and respect, |
35 | Certain Sacred Insignia of ancestors, |
36 | May be brought to ceremony to signify the authority of such relatives, |
37 | And their presence as witnesses to right ceremony. |
38 | As to fourth Sacred Insignia, a tribe may request the presence of an important Sacred Insignia, |
39 | And shall be responsible for its safe keeping until its return. |
40 | Misuse, defacement and destruction of such symbols is a grave transgression. |
41 | A people that dishonor Sacred Insignia, |
42 | Have no right to claim insignia themselves honorable; |
43 | A people that steal, deface or destroy Sacred Insignia have no civilization or law. |
44 | A people who respect nothing of Sacred Insignia, |
45 | Have no culture or law. |
46 | A man or woman who deliberately damages Sacred Insignia, |
47 | Can never themselves occupy a sacred office; |
48 | Can never possess valid authority; |
49 | And can never be a custodian of anything sacred. |
50 | A people who permit such perversion of law, |
51 | Abandon any respect of law or justice. |
52 | Any law that dishonors such law cannot be law. |
