Book 8 – The Wars

3   The Wars of Magic

1When one knows reality is a dream within a greater dream;
2Knowledge of right dreaming becomes great power.
3The Wars of knowledge did change and hide such knowledge,
4That it became occult.
5Once men did see that they could change and hide knowledge,
6They saw the idea that they could change people;
7They saw that they could control people through manipulation.
8The birth of the idea to control people through occult,
9Is the birth of the idea of magic:
10Not from light, but from dark;
11Not from wisdom, but from occult;
12Not from love, but from hate;
13Not from truth, but half-truth;
14Not from honor, but from fear.
15A man or woman who believes can do extraordinary acts;
16A man or woman who believes can be convinced even a sunrise be magic,
17And the rise of the Moon be a terrible omen.
18The more ignorant men and women are made,
19towards right knowledge and right ceremony,
20The easier they were manipulated by the false magicians,
21Who called themselves sorcerers.
22Men began to consider magic as knowledge,
23And knowledge as magic.
24Men and women began to fear knowledge as dangerous,
25Because the false sorcerers convinced them to fear.
26Many laws became corrupted,
27Many lesser men and women became leaders,
28Not by courage and leadership,
29But by trickery, sorcery and falsity.
30Worst of all was when generations did die in belief,
31Spirit was trapped by false belief in false magic.
32It was the power of these spirits in distress,
33That the false sorcerers then used to create stronger illusions,
34And the appearance of great magic.
35In truth, any man who dishonors the great dreaming,
36Who dishonors spirit,
37Must come to a reckoning.
38In truth, the age of false magic and occult has come to an end.
39Let not a man or woman speak falsely of law.
40Let not a man or woman speak falsely of knowledge again.
