The greatest enemy a man or woman ever face,
Be revealed in reaching over a still stream or pond.
The greatest battle be the one each man and woman must face alone:
The battle within between honoring law and rebellion;
The battle within between right intention and weak intention;
The battle within between right knowledge and false fears.
The wars between the people came not because of divisions of community,
But because of division within the spirit of each man and woman.
False magicians did not come because people were ignorant and easily tricked,
But because they refused to listen to the wisdom of the spirit inside themselves.
Right law was corrupted not because people did not remember the old ways of ancestors,
But because people were not willing to suffer the cost of honoring First Law and Second Law.
An honorable man in First and Second Law is never alone:
He be protected on all sides against evil and danger.
But no guardian spirit or ancestor can fight these battles within.
No ancestor spirit can walk the path or make the choice for you.
This be the deepest of wisdom of the universal dreaming.
Your free will is the same as the divine creator spirit.
You must choose your path.
You must learn the lessons of war.
That all war is futile, even within.
Only discipline, vigilance against injustice;
Only intolerance against falsity can win a lasting peace,
With intention and every action is a test of the truce.
