Book 9 – The Second Great Tribulation

6   The Second Great Redemption

1Do not be afraid to cry or laugh.
2Sorrow and laughter are two paths to great knowledge.
3Do not be afraid of what you think might be lost.
4Nothing is forgotten. Nothing can be taken.
5See then through Yapa:
6The Past, the Present and future possibilities are all one.
7Dreaming is all around us.
8We are the custodians of dream;
9We are responsible for dreaming.
10All life, all existence is spirit in form.
11We do not inherit the land from our Ancestors,
12We are its custodians for our children.
13The land is not a prize, it is an obligation.
14The country is not a resource, it is life itself.
15No one can ever take land.
16No one can ever take spirit.
17The sun rises, the wind blows;
18The grass grows and fades away;
19The tide comes and goes.
20Let no one say the past is dead.
21Dreaming means the past is always with us,
22Dreaming is around us and within us.
23If you live on this land and you have ancestors sleeping in this land,
24Then you are family. You are one of the community.
25The right way is that everything is created equal and sacred:
26The right knowledge is that the soil, the clay, the rocks are all sacred;
27The right spirit is to honor Law, to honor who and what you are.
28Spirit never abandons the people.
29It is only the flesh that falls asleep to knowledge of spirit and season.
30Remember then the promises made;
31These were not hollow words, but connections between different time and space.
32They have brought us then to this time and place.
33Remember then who you are.
34Remember and honor the law.
35As the people were scattered and died,
36Good men and women cried out to spirit for help,
37And spirit did come.
38They did not give up hope or honor or respect;
39Even as family died around them,
40They continued to honor the law and ancestor spirits;
41Even as white people and lesser people infected with illness of mind,
42Did injure the land and destroy customs,
43Good men and woman did not surrender Law.
44Redemption then did come from such right intentions,
45And right actions of the law people of community.
46Because they remembered the mystery of the great dream of Universe:
47To Live 1 Dies. 1 Dies to Live;
48That to learn, one must die to disrespect of Law;
49To Live, one must die to dishonor of self;
50To Live as men and women, not animals,
51One must respect and honor knowledge of ancestors,
52One must always respect and honor Yapa.
