Article 36 - Contraception

Birth Control is a phrase used to define a range of methods and procedures to prevent fertilization or to interrupt or terminate the earliest stages of pregnancy.

Canon 4820 (link)

There are four (4) main form of birth control are Contraception, Sterilization, Contragestation and Abortion:

(i) Contraception is any method or procedure that seeks to prevent fertilization; and

(ii) Sterilization is the intentional intervention to render a member of an organism unable to reproduce; and

(ii) Contragestation is any method or procedure that seeks to prevent the implantation of the blastocyst; and

(iii) Abortion is the termination of pregnancy and the life of an embryo or fetus through its removal or expulsion from the uterus.

The safest, oldest and most effective form of birth control is abstinence from sexual intercourse.

The safest and most effective form of contraception is the male condom.

Any society, association, religion or cult that promotes arguments against the use of contraception and birth control is acting against the interests of society as a whole.

Canon 4824 (link)

Any society, association, religion or cult that promotes arguments against the use of contraception and birth control in regions of high health risk and sexual transmitted disease risk is guilty of serious crimes against humanity.
