Al Sufian

1	O you who believe! Let it be said: Al-Aziz;
2	The Honorable, the Highest, the Almighty;
3	And the eighty-seventh name of Allah, the Infinite, the Unique, the All Knowing.
4	Do not recall yourself to a heroic ancestor;
5	Nor claim protection from a powerful kin;
6	Do not hide behind the name of the tribe;
7	Nor the respect of the father or mother.
8	In honor it matters nothing our blood or kin.
9	Honor is but the demonstration of virtue of character,
10	As Honor is nothing if not tested.
11	Let it be said a man cannot be born honorable,
12	Nor can he be made honorable.
13	Only his actions may be deemed so.
14	Thus a man may be respected as honorable upon his past, until once against tested.
15	Therefore, let no man be judge unless he be honorable;
16	Let no general lead men into battle unless he be honorable;
17	Let no man administer the treasures of the city unless he be of the highest honor.
18	Take care of the sick and the elderly;
19	Never abandon orphans.
20	Seek out and punish those that may of rob a poor wretch or attack a cripple.
21	Do not stretch out your hand to touch a famous man,
22	Nor snatch at the word of a great one.
23	Do not let yourself be sent on a wicked errand,
24	Nor be friends with him who does it.
25	Do not raise an outcry against one who attacks You,
26	Nor return him an answer yourself.
27	Pause before speaking and do not be the carrier of slander.
28	If one has no good words to speak of a man, let silence be the witness to his character.
