  Cognitio - Cognition

The wisest of men and women have long comprehended that the Observer is neither passive nor separable from that which is Observed.
Without an Observer, it can be argued there is nothing Observed, as the Observer is integral to the existence of the event.
It is why there exists a fundamental maxim of law that an event must be witnessed by at least two separate people in order for it to be considered a fact.
Therefore, whenever we speak or write of Ideas and Rules, we must also keep in mind a third fundamental concept being Cognition itself.
With our senses, we feel the world around us and with our brains we process such information into some fathomable construct.
With the skill of mind then harnessing such input, we use our abilities of logic and reason to discern the world around us, what we read and the interaction of others.
Thus Cognitive Law as the Laws of the Mind are essential to any sensible discussion and reasonable argument.
When a man or woman having no discernible physical or mental impediment to cognition and reason, chooses to ignore their senses; and
When a man or woman having chosen to ignore the reason of their senses also chooses to ignore and disavow the natural skills of common sense and intuition; and
When a man or woman having chosen to ignore their senses and disavow any instinctual ability to sense reason or intuition then abandons all use of logic and deduction,
Then such a man or woman declares themselves incompetent and renders their opinions or thoughts ineligible to be taken seriously until they cease such deliberate delinquency.
There is no question that the world can be complex and life challenging, yet this is precisely why we are blessed with the gifts of reason and discernment and such tools as logic.
A father cannot also be his own son. This is not only a rule of nature but a rule of reasoned argument.
Thus, the authority of that which is created cannot be greater than the authority of the one that created it.
This is both common sense and reasoned and logical argument. Yet what does it mean if people are unable or unwilling to discern such basic common sense?
The Cognitive abilities of the Homo Sapien species, also known as mankind is extraordinary.
Where other higher order life forms on planet earth are limited by the perception of colors, the mind of men and women is capable of recognizing a world vibrant of color.
Indeed, everything we see, or feel, or think or do involves the intimate cognition of our minds.
Everything we perceive as real or not real, or every belief or experience is effectively filtered through our mind.
Nor is mind or even memory a constant, but an ever changing and adapting construct, dependent upon circumstance as well as our emotional and physical state.
The malleable nature of mind is a feature and advantage of nature, enabling men and women to adapt and survive.
Yet the mercurial nature of mind and cognition also lends itself to being manipulated and sometimes fooled.
In entertainment, many enjoy the amusement of the magician and the trickster in the art of misdirection.
Yet, sadly the same art and crafts are often employed by the tyrant, the thief and the political manipulator.
Religion is sadly not immune from those that have sought to trick and beguile the cognition of mind.
The supremely profane, sacrilegious and morally repugnant notion of original sin is found nowhere in any authentic sacred text.
Yet the abomination of such a false teaching remains central to the manipulation of cognition and mind throughout the world.
Why then such deliberate falsities designed to entrap the mind? Why such deception from people who proclaim to be divine messengers?
Because, when a mind is tricked and trapped by ideas of madness, then such a mind can be abused and enslaved.
Let us be careful then in the discussions we soon will commence on the truth and nature of the Divine.
No one has any right to trick you, or bear false witness concerning the Divine.
Nor has anyone the right to claim ownership of your mind or your thoughts.
You deserve the truth and nothing less.
