The Young Priest and Luki
| At dusk, a Young Priest wearied from a long journey, lay down to sleep unbeknownst on the very brink of a deep ravine. |
| Being within inches of the edge, Luki appeared to him and waking him from his slumber thus addressed him: |
| Young man, I pray thee awake and make haste away from your mortal peril. |
| For had you fallen into the ravine, the blame shall be thrown on me, and I shall get an ill name among mortals. |
| Alas, as much as men shall claim their good fortune upon skill, men are sure to blame their calamities upon me. |
| However much by their own folly they have brought distress on themselves. |
