Book 10 – The Third Law

16   Cultural Law

1This be Cultural Law:
2Cultural Law are the laws governing the creation, registration, recognition, preservation, protection and custody of the cultural legacy and sacred objects of the people.
3All tribes and nations under Yapa are required to have their own unique Register of Cultural Objects that no object may be granted, given, displayed, bought, sold, moved unless it be duly registered and possess a unique record of its provenance and terms of use.
4No one other than the nation or tribe of origin may claim a Cultural Object under Yapa, nor may seek to register it by their own means.
5No one may own a Cultural Object. All Cultural Objects are by custody only. Anyone who claims ownership of a Cultural Object automatically ceases to have any rights to hold it.
6Anyone possessing a Cultural Object of the people that is not duly registered in a valid Register of Cultural Objects possesses no rights of custodianship and therefore no right to hold it, sell it or use it.
7No art, sound, icon, imagery depicting a matter of traditional culture may be created unless it is duly registered in a Register of Cultural Objects having been granted permission by one or more duly authorized tribes or nations.
8No Cultural Object may be bought, sold, leased, granted, given or conveyed unless it is duly registered on a valid Register of Cultural Objects.
9Any law that is against such truth cannot be law.
