Article 119 - Invocation

119.1
Invocation (link)

All communication to the Angelorum Systemata (Angelic Systems) of Heaven by living Members of One Heaven shall be by Invocation in accord with the present sacred Covenant. The methods, rules and standards of proper Invocation shall be defined by the present sacred Covenant and associated covenants and no other. All properly conferred Invocation shall be received, recorded and acknowledged by the Angelorum Systemata (Angelic Systems) of One Heaven.

119.2
Nature and Character of Invocation (link)

Invocation by its very definition means “to vocalize some call for assistance; or the presence; or manifestation of one or more divine being”. Thus the positive vocal expression of such a call or entreaty or prayer is fundamental to the operative function of any proper Invocation. When it is not vocalized, an Invocation is properly defined as a Meditation.

An Invocation may be memorialized in writing as witness to the event. However, any such memorandum or certificate is always dependent upon the action of the said Invocation first being spoken.

A proper Invocation may stand alone, or may represent part of a more complex series of ritual or events. When an Invocation is made from the use of some formula of words in prose, or sung or spoken, then it shall be known more formally as an Incantation. However, when a proper Invocation stands alone and involves the use of freeform and self selection of words by the one making the Invocation, then it shall be known simply as an Invocation.

119.3
Reprobate, Profane and Repugnant forms of Invocation (link)

An Invocation shall be reprobate, profane, repugnant and therefore invalid and improper and rejected by the Angelorum Systemata (Angelic Systems) of Heaven:

(i) If it is deliberately harmful, negative or malevolent in its intent, design or inference; or

(ii) If it is deliberately dishonest, deceptive or perfidious in its intent, design or inference; or

(iii) If it is frivolous, or profane or disrespect in its intent, or tone, or design or inference; or

(iv) If it is irrational, or unreasonable or illogical in its intent, or tone, or design or inference; or

(v) If it motivated or driven by hate, greed, jealously, anger or lust; or

(vi) If it motivated or driven by an attempt to shift blame or avoid accepting self-responsibility; or

(vii) If it motivated or driven by a desire, or wish, or worship of money or abundant material wealth.

119.4
The fundamental elements of valid Invocation (link)

While the genuine Intention of a proper Invocation or Meditation (non-vocalized Invocation) is in itself the most important element of a valid Invocation, the following elements are recognized as the optimum structure for a valid Invocation being Identity, Petition and Affirmation:

(i) Identity is the identity of the person or group in whose name the Invocation is directed; and

(ii) Petition is the body of the Invocation itself; and

(i) Affirmation is the offering and affirmation of the one who makes the Invocation as their commitment to the positivity of Intention and the truth of Petition.

119.5
Essential Types of valid Invocation (link)

Six types of Invocation or Meditation (non-vocalized Invocation) are recognized being Adoration, Intervention, Intercession, Confession, Lamentation and Thanksgiving:

(i) Adoration is recognized as the type of Invocation or Meditation used for giving honor and praise to a higher spiritual presence; and

(ii) Intervention is recognized as the type of Invocation or Meditation used for directly summonsing the presence of spirits or asking something for one’s self; and

(iii) Intercession is recognized as the type of Invocation or Meditation used for asking something for others; and

(iv) Confession is recognized as the type of Invocation or Meditation used for the atonement and repentance of wrongdoing and the asking of forgiveness; and

(v) Lamentation is recognized as the type of Invocation or Meditation used for crying in distress and asking for vindication; and

119.6
