Article 141 - Cleric

Cleric (link)

A Cleric is one versed, skilled, competent and capable of ordained formal religious services. A Cleric by definition, is one properly consecrated in accord with the present sacred Covenant.The Office of Cleric is one of the fourteen Superior Ecclesiastical Offices of the Four Hundred and Thirty Two (432) Great Offices of One Heaven.

All Procedures including (but not limited to) the commission, obligations, authority, powers, function, standards, qualifications, honors, dignities, conduct, accountabilities, grades, benefits, legacies, term, investiture, enrolment, certification, review, audit, censure, sanction or cessation of the Office of Cleric shall be defined by the present Covenant and associated rules and covenants including, but not limited to Pactum De Singularis Christus (Covenant of One Christ), Pactum De Singularis Islam (Covenant of One Islam) and Pactum De Singularis Spiritus (Covenant of One Spirit).

Origin and Meaning of Cleric (link)

The word cleric originates from the Ancient Greek κληρικός (klērikós) and Latin clericus meaning a “member of religious fraternity; an educated or properly authorised person”. All skilled, competent and capable persons of ordained formal religious services shall be firstly known as Clerics, consistent with the present sacred Covenant, before any other title of honor of particular religious doctrine:

(i) Every member of the Traditions of Christianity or Abraham, united as One Christ, receiving the Cardinal Sacrament of Consecration (Ritus Sacramentum Consecratio), shall be known as a Cleric. No person may administer or dispense any Cardinal Sacraments in the name of the Ecclesia of One Christ, without first the Consecrated Character of Cleric. No person may function in a delegated or ordinary position, without first the Consecrated Character of Cleric; and

(ii) Every member of the Traditions of Islam, united as One Islam, receiving the Cardinal Sacrament of Consecration (Ritus Sacramentum Consecratio), shall be known as a Cleric and an Imam. No person may administer or dispense any Cardinal Sacraments in the name of the One Islam, without first the Consecrated Character of Cleric as an Imam. No person may function in a delegated or ordinary position, without first the Consecrated Character of Cleric as an Imam; and

(iii) Every member of the Traditions of Buddhism, united as One Spirit, receiving the Cardinal Sacrament of Consecration (Ritus Sacramentum Consecratio), shall be known as a Cleric and a Monk. No person may administer or dispense any Cardinal Sacraments in the name of Buddhism and One Spirit, without first the Consecrated Character of Cleric as a Monk. No person may function in a delegated or ordinary position, without first the Consecrated Character of Cleric as a Monk; and

(iv) Every member of the Traditions of Hinduism, united as One Spirit, receiving the Cardinal Sacrament of Consecration (Ritus Sacramentum Consecratio), shall be known as a Cleric and a Guru. No person may administer or dispense any Cardinal Sacraments in the name of Hinduism and One Spirit, without first the Consecrated Character of Cleric as a Guru. No person may function in a delegated or ordinary position, without first the Consecrated Character of Cleric as a Guru.

Mission and Purpose of Office of Cleric (link)

The primary mission of the Office of Cleric is to exemplify and personify the highest virtues of good character, good conscience and good trust in support of community spirit and dignified life. The main purposes of the Office of Cleric are:

(i) Evangelize as true and competent witnesses to the message of forgiveness, redemption and the restoration of the Golden Rule of Law as expressed throughout the canonical scriptures of the twenty two collections known as Maxima Textibus Sacris; and

(ii) Restore integrity and trust to the prudent, transparent and diligent management of rights, trusts, property, estates and funds entrusted to be properly managed under the Golden Rule of Law, true Justice and fair Process; and

(iii) Educate others to become competent in the knowledge of the application of the Golden Rule of Law through the laws of Ucadia to deliver true Justice and fair Process to all; and

(iv) Counsel and assist members of the community in their matters in complete confidence and trust; and

(v) Personify the living law as the highest jurist in legal forums and places absent of competence, or honor or any valid form of law; and

(vi) Officiate rituals associated with the dispensation of one or more of the thirty three sacred sacraments of Summa Sacramenta; and

(vii) Dispense the appropriate sacraments in solemnity, respect according to the liturgy and instruction associated with the Summa Sacramenta.
