Article 142 - Celebrant
A Celebrant is one competent, capable and certified to officiate and dispense certain Sacraments and Religious Ceremonies. A Celebrant may or may not be a Cleric. The Office of Celebrant is one of the fourteen Superior Ecclesiastical Offices of the Four Hundred and Thirty Two (432) Great Offices of One Heaven.
All Procedures including (but not limited to) the commission, obligations, authority, powers, function, standards, qualifications, honors, dignities, conduct, accountabilities, grades, benefits, legacies, term, investiture, enrolment, certification, review, audit, censure, sanction or cessation of the Office of Celebrant shall be defined by the present Covenant and associated rules and covenants including, but not limited to Pactum De Singularis Christus (Covenant of One Christ), Pactum De Singularis Islam (Covenant of One Islam) and Pactum De Singularis Spiritus (Covenant of One Spirit).
The primary mission of the Office of Celebrant is to embody and personify the Summa Sacramenta being the thirty three sacred sacraments of the Divine Creator of all Existence. The main purposes of the Office of Celebrant are :
(i) Educate others to become competent in the nature, power and application of the thirty three sacred sacraments of Summa Sacramenta; and
(ii) Prepare and educate those about to undergo one or more sacred rituals concerning one or more of the thirty three sacred sacraments of Summa Sacramenta as to the nature, character and significance of the event, the gift and associated responsibilities; and
(iii) Officiate rituals associated with the dispensation of one or more of the thirty three sacred sacraments of Summa Sacramenta; and
(iv) Dispense the appropriate sacraments in solemnity, respect according to the liturgy and instruction associated with the Summa Sacramenta.
